For business
The scent you notice the moment you walk into a good hotel is not a candle. It is a cold-air fragrance system running quietly on a schedule. We make one, we make the oils that go in it, and we will help you find the right scent for your space. With free hand poured samples, from Nottingham, you can choose the perfect scent for your hotel that guests will remember.
Scent is the part of a space people remember without being able to say why. Hotels have known this for years, which is why the lobby smells the same at seven in the morning as it does at midnight. A diffuser is atomising a neat fragrance oil into the air on a timer, evenly, across the whole floor.
That’s what The Wisp Fragrance System does. No water, no heat, no flame, nothing to light or top up every day. It takes the same oils we sell for the home, holds enough for around three months, and is controlled from a phone over Wi-Fi allowing you to control when it comes on and off. One unit covers 430–500 m², which is most shops, salons, clinics, reception floors and open-plan offices in one go. Treatment rooms and smaller spaces take the Wisp Mini, which does one room on a wall socket.
Anywhere people walk in and form an opinion in the first three seconds.
Replace the chemical note of colour and product with something clients ask about. One System covers the floor; a Mini in each treatment room.
Clean, calm and unmistakably not a hospital. Soft citrus and clean florals in reception but nothing too heavy in treatment rooms.
The scent becomes part of the brand. Customers stay longer and remember the shop. The same oil at home keeps them thinking of you.
A reception that smells considered says more about a company than the artwork. Schedule it to office hours and forget about it.
The lobby effect, plus a Mini in the best rooms. For lets, a Mini on a timer is the difference between “clean” and “lovely” in the first review.
Fresh and clean at the door, warm and grounding in the studio. Cold-air diffusion adds no humidity, unlike ultrasonic machines.
Front of house only, and lightly. Something that welcomes without arguing with the food. We’ll steer you away from anything sweet.
A viewing that smells like a home sells a home. A Mini per show property, the same oil in every one so the brand follows the buyer.
You know your customers and your space and we know the oils. Tell us about the premises and we will pick three scents we think fit, post you samples at no charge, and tell you honestly which machine you need.
What kind of business, roughly how big, what it should feel like when someone walks in, and anything it has to compete with like coffee, hair colour, a gym.
We post three oils, chosen for you, free in the UK. Try them in the space, at the time of day it matters, with the people who work there.
We’ll tell you which machine, how many, where to put them and what schedule to run. Refills come in plain 125 ml bottles whenever you need them.
Browse all 31 in the fragrance oils, or use the fragrance finder if you’d rather start by mood than by family.
A wedding venue scents the same room forty times a year. A planner walks into a different one every weekend. Both have the same problem: candles are banned in most barns, listed buildings and hotels, reed diffusers do nothing in a room that size, and a signature scent is now something couples ask for by name.
A cold-air diffuser answers all three. No flame, no heat, no water, so there is nothing for a venue to object to. The Fragrance System covers 430–500 m² on a schedule you set once from the app, so the room smells right as guests walk in rather than building up through the day. The machine is yours, outright, with no contract. A 125 ml bottle of oil gives around 80–90 hours of active diffusion, which at an event’s typical bursts is a season of weddings for £45.
For venues we suggest one house scent. Something clean and quietly expensive that stays in the memory and the option of a couple’s own choice as an upgrade on the day. For planners, it is a line on the proposal that costs you nothing to offer and that couples remember. Tell us the rooms and we will suggest three oils and the number of machines. Multi-site and trade questions are easiest by the form below. Couples planning their own day should read the scent of your wedding day, kept.
Less than most people expect, because a cold-air system runs in short bursts rather than continuously. At an hour of active diffusion a day, plenty for a shop or a salon, a 125 ml bottle lasts the Fragrance System around two months, which works out at well under a pound a day for the scent. The machine is a one-off purchase so there is no subscription, no proprietary cartridge and no contract.
The Fragrance System covers 430–500 m² at a 3 m ceiling, which is a whole floor with the doors open. For a larger floor, or two distinct areas you want scented differently, use one per zone. The Wisp Mini covers 67–83 m² and is the right choice for treatment rooms, consulting rooms, small shops and holiday lets. Our diffuser finder walks through it, or just tell us the square metres.
There is no heat, no flame and no water, so nothing to spill, scald or boil dry, and the mist is dry so it does not settle on surfaces or add humidity. Every oil is labelled to UK CLP standards with its ingredients and safety information. We recommend the machine runs on a schedule in bursts, which is how it is designed to work. You want the scent to be there when someone walks in, not to build up all day.
Yes. The reservoir refills in place. To change scent, run the current oil down, then run rubbing alcohol through the reservoir for five minutes to clear the last fragrance, empty it and pour in the new oil. Many businesses run something fresh in summer and something warmer from October. Order the next oil before the current one runs out and the changeover is done in a quarter of an hour.
Yes. Run the house scent down, run rubbing alcohol through the reservoir for five minutes to clear it, empty it and pour in the couple’s choice. Allow a quarter of an hour, plus an hour of running before guests arrive. Many venues keep two reservoirs’ worth of oil on hand — the house scent and whatever the next couple has picked.
Yes. Tell us how many locations and rooms, and we will put a set together with the oil to match. Multi-site orders are easiest to handle by email, so use the form below rather than the checkout.
Ask us. We are a small company in Nottingham and we are flexible with businesses that want to work with us properly. Tell us what you need in the form and we will come back to you with a straight answer, usually the same day.
The 31 oils are our core range and we hold stock of all of them. We hand-bottle in Nottingham, so a scent you choose for your premises stays available, and if you ever want something made for you, that is a conversation we are happy to have.
We’ll reply with three sample suggestions and a recommendation for the machine. No obligation, no sales calls.
Thank you — that’s with us. We’ll read it properly and reply by email, usually the same working day, with three scent suggestions and the machine we’d recommend.
Plenty of business owners do. The Mini is £30, fills one room, and takes the same oils so the scent you pick for your living room is the one your customers will walk into.
