Green fruit and sweet orange over mint and lemon — bracing rather than pretty. Lavender and jasmine round the middle out, and sandalwood, cypress and oakmoss hold it to the ground.
Hallways, living rooms and home offices. A hallway is the obvious one — a green herbal diffuser oil with this much lift makes an entrance smell deliberate, and the mint and lemon carry up a stairwell better than most blends we make.
In a living room it holds through an evening because of the oakmoss and sandalwood, so it does not vanish two hours after you switch the diffuser on. In a home office it is the more assertive alternative to something quiet: good on a slow afternoon, possibly too much if you are on calls all day.
Buy it if you like spa and hotel fragrances and want one that lasts at home. Ten notes, a proper wood base and a top that actually announces itself — this is the green herbal we recommend most often to people who already know what they like.
Think twice if you want subtle. It is not. The Hills is the quiet one in this family — orange, lemon, green tea and white musk, four notes and nothing else, made for a desk. The Luck is the softer garden option, clover and bergamot over nasturtium and orchid, greener and more floral than this and less mineral.
Also worth saying: mint divides opinion. If you have found mint-forward scents medicinal in the past, the lavender and sandalwood here change the picture considerably, but the mint is still the first thing you meet.
Concentrated oil for cold-air diffusion. Do not use it in a reed diffuser, a candle or a wax burner — heat destroys the mint and turns the oakmoss muddy. Two or three drops in The Wisp Mini is enough for a hallway, and the Wisp Fragrance System is the right unit for a living room or an open-plan floor where the base notes need distance to settle.
The 10ml fits the Neom Pod Mini, and a few drops on a Wisp Aroma Stone will do a gym bag or a car with no power at all.
