Orange blossom, orange and aldehyde open bright and a little powdery — on paper, a tropical fragrance; in practice, closer to good linen and a made bed. Jasmine and rose carry the middle, and tonka bean, musk and vanilla carry it into the evening.
Bedrooms first, then living rooms, then bathrooms. It is quieter than most florals of this weight, which makes it one of the few we would run overnight or in a small room without hesitation. A rich floral diffuser oil usually needs space; this one does not mind being close.
Bathrooms suit it particularly well — the clean, powdery opening does something useful there that a heavier floral would not. In a kitchen it is wasted.
Buy it if "clean but not clinical" describes the rich floral diffuser oil you have been looking for. It is the scent to choose when you want a room to smell cared for rather than perfumed, and it is an easy one to live with day after day.
Look elsewhere if you want drama. The Panda is the same family turned up considerably — ylang-ylang, lily and sandalwood, tropical and unmistakable, where this one is understated. If you want the clean quality but with less flower in it, The Free is worth a look: lemon, violet, amber and musk, lighter and more citrus-led.
It is also a sensible first floral if you are not sure florals are for you. Very few people dislike it, which is not something we can say about every oil we make.
Cold-air diffusion only. This is a concentrated fragrance oil, not a reed diffuser refill, and it should never go into a candle or a wax burner — heat destroys the aldehyde and flattens everything that makes it worth having. Two or three drops in The Wisp Mini is enough for a bedroom; the Wisp Fragrance System handles larger or connected spaces. The 10ml bottle fits the Neom Pod Mini, and a couple of drops on a Wisp Aroma Stone works in a linen cupboard, which is exactly where this one belongs.
