Living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, roughly in that order. A living room is the obvious home for it: this is a fresh floral diffuser oil with enough projection to hold a sofa-and-television-sized space without being run hard, and the blackcurrant keeps it interesting across a long evening rather than turning into background noise.

In a hallway it makes an immediate impression — tart first, then unmistakably rose within seconds. In a bedroom, keep it low. Run high overnight and the Bulgarian rose can feel like a great deal of rose at two in the morning.

Is The Feeling right for you?

Choose it if you like rose and have been let down by soft ones. This is a statement blend: six notes, two of them doing something quite aggressive at the top, and it does not politely fade into the furniture. It is also the most seasonless floral we make — the green top keeps it from feeling heavy in July, and the amber keeps it from feeling thin in January.

Skip it if you want subtle. The Blush is the gentler fruited floral, all apple, peony and suede, and The Free is the one to pick if you would rather have citrus and wood doing most of the talking with the flowers kept in the background.

One honest caveat: blackcurrant leaf divides people. Some read it as fresh and green, others find it sharp bordering on savoury for the first few minutes. If you have never smelled a blackcurrant-and-rose blend, buy the 10ml before you commit to a larger bottle.

How to use it

This is a concentrated oil for cold-air diffusion. It is not a reed diffuser refill, not a candle fragrance and not a wax melt — no heat and no water are involved.
