Dining rooms, living rooms and studies. It was designed for rooms where people sit down with a drink, and it does not make a great deal of sense anywhere else. In a study it is particularly good — the leather and patchouli give a working room some weight without the smoke of a proper tobacco scent.
Avoid bedrooms unless you like being kept slightly alert. And skip the kitchen: a fruity diffuser oil with rum and milk in it does strange things next to actual cooking.
Choose it if you want an evening fragrance with some character, and if the usual gourmand options — vanilla, caramel, tonka — have always struck you as too sweet. This is a fruity diffuser oil with the warmth and none of the sugar.
It is also a good choice if you entertain. It is memorable in a way that pleasant scents rarely are.
Do not choose it as an all-day oil. It is heavy for daytime and it will feel out of place at nine in the morning. The Wisp fragrance oil is the easier, friendlier option in the same family — peach, plum and warm amber, sweet and universally liked. Cold-air diffusion only. This is a concentrated oil, not a reed diffuser refill, and it must not be burned in a candle or a wax melt — the rum and leather notes turn acrid with heat. Two or three drops in The Wisp Mini is plenty for a study or a dining room; the Wisp Fragrance System is the option for larger or connected spaces. The 10ml bottle fits the Neom Pod Mini, and a drop or two on a Wisp Aroma Stone works well in a car.
